Softball

This term for Kiwi Sport we have been learning how to play softball. 

We first learnt how to catch, then how to pitch, lastly we learnt how to bat. Now all we need to learn is how to play the game!

Bigfoot Cycling

On Wednesday we had the wonderful team from Bigfoot Adventures come and teach us some cycle safety skills. Well done to everyone who learnt a new skill. Room 10 enjoyed their afternoon very much!! 

Student Leader Fun Day

Big THANK YOU to the wonderful student leaders who organised a day full of fun activities for the last day of term! 

Wishing everyone a happy and safe holidays. I look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready to face another term of learning in two weeks time!

Buddy Class

This year, our buddy class is the lovely room 1. This afternoon, we went down and helped the fantastic students with their writing. They were writing about a book they read with Miss Liu. After the writing was all finished, room 10 got to experience some play based learning.

Hopefully in term 2 we can spend more time with our buddy class!! 

Term One in Room 10

Room 10 has been very busy so far in term one, a few of the girls have put together a little slide show to show everyone what we have been up to. Thank you to Myat and Tracey for putting it together!

Turbo Touch

Over the past 6 weeks we have had Noelle come in and teach us the game Turbo Touch. We had so much fun, learning the skills of the game and having a little tournament for the last sessions. Room 10 have loved being able to run around and play a new game. Thank you so much Noelle!!

KIWI CAN

We have been having lots of fun and talking about different topics each week for KiwiCan, this week we were talking about LEADERSHIP and LISTENING. 

Room 10 said these are some qualities that make a good leader? 

- Team player

- Includes everyone

- Respectful 

- Good at their job

Room 10 said how to be a good listener is by:

- paying attention to the speaker

- not talking while someone else is talking

- facing the speaker

- waiting until the end to ask questions.

We played KiwiWhispers to see how good at listening we are. 

Room 10 need to remember all these skills in the classroom!
