Turbo Touch

Over the past 6 weeks we have had Noelle come in and teach us the game Turbo Touch. We had so much fun, learning the skills of the game and having a little tournament for the last sessions. Room 10 have loved being able to run around and play a new game. Thank you so much Noelle!!

KIWI CAN

We have been having lots of fun and talking about different topics each week for KiwiCan, this week we were talking about LEADERSHIP and LISTENING. 

Room 10 said these are some qualities that make a good leader? 

- Team player

- Includes everyone

- Respectful 

- Good at their job

Room 10 said how to be a good listener is by:

- paying attention to the speaker

- not talking while someone else is talking

- facing the speaker

- waiting until the end to ask questions.

We played KiwiWhispers to see how good at listening we are. 

Room 10 need to remember all these skills in the classroom! 

Swimming Fun

Last week we started our swimming lessons, Miss Litchfield used to be a lifeguard and swim coach so she is teaching us lots to make our swimming perfect! This week we have a swimming NZ educator in to teach us about water safety. Always remember your togs on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday Room 10!!

Welcome

I would like to wish all students, parents and caregivers a very warm welcome to Room 10 for 2018. I would also like to mention our new students to the school, and I hope you are all settling in nicely. It has been a fantastic first 2 days at G.T.S, and can't wait to get stuck in for the rest of the year.
FIRE and ACE are our vision and values this year and we will be displaying them all the time inside and outside the classroom.
